Why X.W.D. Exists
X.W.D. was developed after witnessing the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk in Utah. On September 10, 2025, Kirk was fatally shot by a gunman positioned on a rooftop while speaking at an outdoor event at Utah Valley University.
We believe technology like X.W.D. could have helped prevent this tragedy. If cameras had been monitoring that rooftop, the moment the shooter brandished his weapon, it could have triggered an alert to security staff. Those critical seconds of warning could have made all the difference.
But this isn't just about one incident. Across the United States, we're witnessing an epidemic of gun violence. Students walking into schools with weapons, harming our innocent children. Horrific street violence tearing communities apart. Mass shootings at public events that leave families devastated.
We have the technology today to help minimize these tragedies. But too often, advanced security technology remains locked away—expensive, inaccessible, or held by institutions that don't make it available to the communities that need it most.

Xavier Lampkin is a tech entrepreneur who believes in building real solutions, not just talking about them. Unlike traditional approaches that rely on expensive contractors and bureaucratic processes, Xavier builds the technology himself.
His philosophy is simple: "If you don't feel it in your daily life, then it didn't work—and I don't count it as a success."
Xavier developed X.W.D. because he saw a gap between the advanced security technology that exists and what's actually available to everyday communities. Schools shouldn't have to choose between protecting their students and staying within budget. Small businesses shouldn't be priced out of safety.
